OTHER ACTIVITIES

As a church we want to serve the community in and around Workington. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful building, the Bridge Centre, and one of the ways we can serve the community is by running our own activities and making the building available for other activities that benefit the people of the town and surrounding area.

Current arrangements

As a result of the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, it has not been possible for our community activities to operate in the usual way. Toddler group and lunch club are not running at the present time. This is under review and further details will be provided in due course. For more detail about other organisations that operate from the Bridge Centre, please visit their websites or contact them directly.

TODDLER GROUP

We run a toddler group for pre-school children and their parents and caregivers on Mondays, 10am-11.30am (term time only).  There are lots of of toys to play with and activities to try out, as well as singing, and drinks and snacks for adults and children.

LUNCH CLUB

We hold a lunch club for over-55s on the last Thursday of each month. There is a hot two-course meal and the event is a chance to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

Booking is essential.
