Welcome to Christ Central Workington
a church family loving God and loving people
Following the lifting of previous restrictions, we are once again able to hold in-person Sunday services that are open to all. Social distancing and the wearing of face coverings remain in place, as does the option to join services via Zoom. Our midweek gatherings remain online and our other activities, such as lunch club and toddler group, are currently under review. To find out more about joining our meetings at the current time, get in touch using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
We are not yet able to give a date when toddler group will restart.
We are sorry to disappoint you all.
We are looking at ways of adapting, improving and streamlining what we do.
Keep safe and keep in touch.
Our church family
We believe that church is a family, not a building, and that we have been brought together to love God and love people. We are motivated not by being religious or following set rules but by having a personal relationship with God and trusting the loving kindness, grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.
We have found that knowing God has transformed our lives and we believe that God has brought us together to help other people discover a personal, transforming relationship with God too.
In normal times, our Sunday meetings are held at the Bridge Centre at 10.45am each Sunday (tea and coffee available from 10.30am). Our meetings usually include singing, a Bible-based talk and the chance for people to share about what God has been doing in their lives.
We operate a weekly toddler group during term time, with plenty of toys, activities and singing to keep the little ones entertained. Refreshments are provided.
Please note, toddler group is not currently running due to Covid-19.
On the last Thursday of each month we hold a lunch club for over-55s, providing a hot two-course meal and the chance to meet up with friends old and new.
Please note, lunch club is not currently running due to Covid-19.
